Reset SOTI Account User Passwords

About this task

To reset the password of a SOTI account user:


  1. In the SOTI Identity Admin Console, open the main menu and select Users.
  2. At the top of the Admin Console, select a directory from the dropdown menu then click Users. All users are displayed in the list.
  3. Select the user whose password you want to reset.
    Tip: Use the search bar to quickly find users by name.
  4. Click Reset Password in the action bar.

  5. In the Reset Password dialog box, enter the new password manually or click Generate Password to create a random one.

  6. Click Reset.


Users with an email on their account receive an email to confirm their password has been reset by an administrator. Users with no email must have their new password shared manually by the administrator. On their next login, the user will be forced to reset their password.
