Deleting a Device

About this task

To delete a device from SOTI Connect:

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click the main menu button and select Devices.
    The Devices view opens.
  2. In the left pane, select the device group that contains the device you want to delete.
    The devices in the selected group appear in the right pane.
  3. In the right pane, do one of the following:
    • Click the selection button beside the device or devices you want to delete. The device action bar appears.
    • Click the device name of the device you want to delete. The device information panel opens.
  4. On the device action bar, or in the device information panel, click the Delete button.
    A confirmation dialog box opens.
  5. In the confirmation dialog box, click Confirm.

Results

The device has now been deleted from SOTI Connect. You can re-add it at any time by going to the New Devices section of the Alerts view and selecting the Rejected Devices tab.
