Map REST API Fields to Widgets

Before you begin

You must have an active REST API connection rule. See REST API: Creating a REST API Rule.

Put your REST API connection to use by mapping data fields to your app widgets.

In the Canvas, select the page or widget that invokes the connection.

Note: The object must support the Invoke REST API action.
From the Events tab, select Events and choose an event.
Select Add.
From Actions, select Invoke REST API.
From Select Service, select the REST API service to use.
Select Map Fields. The Set Fields Mapping window opens.
Select Next.
Select Response to expand the list of available fields.
From the Response list, drag each desired response field to the right-hand list of app widgets.
Select Finish.
Select Add to complete the mapping.

The selected REST API fields populate your mapped widgets when the selected event occurs.
