Create an XSight Topic
About this task
XSight topics are data connections for sending your app's widget data to SOTI XSight. You must create XSight topics for each data field you send.
Procedure
- Select the Apps tab. The App Manager opens, showing available apps.
- Select your app's name. The editor opens.
- Select the Data Connection Rules tab.
- Under XSight Topics, select New Topic. The Create New Topic window opens.

Complete the following information:
Topic name Give a brief name for your topic. Description Describe the nature of your topic in more detail. Topic data type Define the type of data exchanged in your topic. Choices: Integer or String.
Default value Set a value for use when there is no value given. - Select Create.
