Editing a Compliance Policy

About this task

You can update a compliance policy to change its compliance criteria and actions.

Important: Do not edit the default compliance policies.

To edit a compliance policy:

Procedure

  1. In the Policies > Compliance view, click on a compliance policy's name to open its Compliance Policy Information panel. Click the Edit button from the Compliance Policies Actions list to open the Edit Compliance Policy dialog box (see Create/Edit Compliance Policy).
    You can also right-click on a compliance policy and select > Edit.
  2. Edit the name, description, non-compliant criteria, or actions of the compliance policy. You cannot change the device type of the compliance policy.
  3. When your changes are finished, click Save and Assign to apply the updated compliance policy to your devices immediately or Save to wait and apply the changes later.

Results

SOTI MobiControl is updated with the new compliance policy settings and the next time the policy is run, it will use the updated settings.
