Proxy Profile

The Proxy Profile profile configuration allows you to configure proxy settings for network connections to direct traffic through a designated proxy servers. You can configure multiple proxy connections to route traffic depending on your organization's needs. You can also add proxy exceptions as needed.

Enable Web Proxy (HTTP) When enabled, the device routes all HTTP traffic through this proxy server.

Enter the Hostname and, optionally, the Port number of the proxy server.

Enable Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS) When enabled, the device routes all HTTPS traffic through this proxy server.

Enter the Hostname and, optionally, the Port number of the proxy server.

Enable FTP Proxy When enabled, the device routes all FTP traffic through this proxy server.

Enter the Hostname and, optionally, the Port number of the proxy server.

Enable SOCKS Proxy When enabled, the device routes all traffic using the SOCKS protocol through this proxy server.

Enter the Hostname and, optionally, the Port number of the proxy server.

Enable Streaming Proxy When enabled, the device routes all traffic using the real time streaming protocol (RTSP) through this proxy server. This is recommended when using applications such as AirPlay.

Enter the Hostname and, optionally, the Port number of the proxy server.

Enable Gopher Proxy When enabled, the device routes all traffic using the gopher protocol traffic through this proxy server.

Enter the Hostname and, optionally, the Port number of the proxy server.

Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV) When enabled, the FTP client operates in passive FTP mode.
Enable Automatic Proxy Configuration When enabled, you can use a proxy auto-configuration (PAC) file to define how web browsers and other user agents can automatically choose the appropriate proxy server (access method) for fetching a given URL.

Enter the URL of the PAC file.

Exceptions When enabled, you can specify exceptions to traffic that would otherwise use a proxy server.

Select Click here to add new proxy domain and enter the domain name of the site you want to bypass the proxy.

Tip:
  • To bypass a single domain, enter the domain name. Example: apple.com
  • To bypass all websites on a domain, use an asterisk before the domain name. Example: *apple.com
  • To bypass a specific part of a domain, specify each part. Example: store.apple.com
