Revoking a Profile

Before you begin

You must have Manage Profiles permission to revoke profiles. See General Permissions for more information.

About this task

Revoking a profile removes its configurations and packages from all the devices that the profile targets. It also prevents new devices that meet the assignment criteria from installing the profile contents. See Using Profiles.
Note: You can reapply revoked profiles by assigning them to your devices. See Assigning a Profile.

Procedure

To revoke a profile:
  1. From the main menu, select Profiles. The Profiles view opens.
  2. In the Profiles view, select a profile name to open its profile information panel.
  3. Select Revoke from the Profile Actions list.
  4. Select Revoke in the Revoke Profile window.
    Tip: In the profiles view, you can also select More beside the profile and choose Revoke from the dropdown list.

Results

You have successfully revoked a profile in the Profiles view and the configurations are no longer applied to the devices or device groups.

Revoking a Profile from Individual Devices

About this task

Revoke a profile in the devices list if you are trying to remove a configuration from an individual device.

Procedure

To revoke a profile from an individual device:
  1. From the main menu, select Devices.
  2. Select the device which you would like to revoke a profile from.
  3. Under the Configurations tab in the device information panel, select More by the profile name, then choose Revoke Profile.
  4. Select OK in the Revoke Profile window.

Results

The profile is revoked and the configurations are no longer applied to the device.
