Device Side Actions for Enrollment

Before you begin

Make sure you meet the following prerequisites before enrolling your Android devices:

Create a valid Enrollment ID or the Enrollment URL. See Creating an Android Enterprise Device Policy.
For Work Profile enrollment, install the SOTI MobiControl device agent on your device.
[Optional]: Install the SOTI MobiControl Companion application for an Android Enterprise Work Profile setup.
[Optional]: Create an Android Enrollment QR code. See Creating Android Enrollment QR Codes.

Note: SOTI MobiControl Companion is only supported on SOTI MobiControl version 2025 and later.

Work Managed

About this task

This section provides device-side instructions for completing Work Managed enrollment.

Procedure

Optional: On the initial device boot screen, tap seven times to open the device's camera application and scan an enrollment QR code.
Follow the on-screen instructions during the device setup until you reach the Google account sign-in screen.
Optional: If necessary, factory reset the device to access the setup menu.
Enter afw#mobicontrol as the account name on the account sign-in screen and select Next. The SOTI MobiControl device agent installs.
Enter the enrollment ID from the enrollment policy and select Enroll.

Results

The enrolled Work Managed device appears on the device dashboard.

Work Profile

About this task

This section provides device-side instructions for completing Work Profile enrollment.

Procedure

Launch the SOTI MobiControl device agent on the device to begin enrollment.
Enter the enrollment ID or enrollment URL from your enrollment policy.
Complete the enrollment process by following the on-screen instructions.

Results

After successful enrollment, the device appears on the SOTI MobiControl devices dashboard.

Corporate Owned Personal Enabled (COPE)

About this task

This section provides device-side instructions for completing Corporate Owned Personal Enabled (COPE) enrollment.

Procedure

Factory reset your device.
On the initial device boot screen, tap seven times to open the device's camera application.
Use the device camera to scan the enrollment QR code. This initiates the COPE enrollment process.
Complete the enrollment process by following the on-screen instructions.

Results

After successful enrollment, the device appears on the SOTI MobiControl device dashboard. The Personal and Work containers are visible in the device menu section.
