Using the Approval Process for Device Enrollment
Administrators can enable optional administrative approval for devices attempting to enroll with SOTI MobiControl. When enabled, devices attempting to enroll must be reviewed before enrollment. During the review, administrators can view device details and decide whether to approve or reject the enrollment.
Important: This feature is only available for the
following device families:
- Android Classic with Device Agent 2025.0.3.1061 or higher
- Android Enterprise (Non-AMAPI) with Device Agent 2025.0.3.1061 or higher
- Apple iOS (must specify Enrollment Type as Device)
- Apple macOS (must specify Enrollment Type as Device)
- Windows Modern
To use this feature, you must execute the following steps:
- Create an enrollment policy that enables the Approval Required On Device Enrollment setting. See the Approval Required On Device Enrollment setting in the Enrollment Policy Wizard topic.
- Enroll devices using the enrollment policy. See Enrolling Devices to enroll your platform-specific devices. Once you attempt to enroll a device using the enrollment policy, SOTI MobiControl receives a device enrollment approval request notification.
- Access the device enrollment approval request. See the Announcement tab from the Notifications panel.
- Review and then process the device enrollment request. See Managing Enrollment Requests for details.
