Renaming Roles

About this task

To rename an existing role:

Procedure

  1. Select Users and Permissions from the main menu.
  2. In the left pane, select the Roles tab.
  3. Right-click the required role on the list in the left pane.
  4. From the context menu, select Rename to open the Rename Role dialog box.
  5. In the Role Name field, type a new name for the role. Make the name reflect the business need this role will serve, such as Help Desk Technician, Sales Analytics Team, and so on.
  6. Click Rename.
