Bypassing the Activation Lock
Before you begin
Important: Complete this procedure before wiping your iOS devices. If you do not, you will need to manually enter the bypass code on your device.
If you are transferring a device from another MDM or SOTI MobiControl instance and the phone has not been factory reset, SOTI MobiControl cannot retrieve the activation lock bypass code from the device.
About this task
To automatically bypass the activation lock on iOS devices:
Procedure

Select the device(s) that have activation lock enabled and click the Bypass Activation Lock icon in the Device Actions menu bar.
Click the More menu button to see the full device actions list.
- If applicable, click the warning message at the bottom of the dialog box to see why SOTI MobiControl cannot bypass the activation lock on some of the selected devices.
- Click Bypass Activation Lock.
What to do next
You can now wipe your iOS devices.
