Scripts

Use the Task Scheduler profile configuration to send scripts to your devices and execute them according to a configured schedule.

Tip: See Using Script Commands for a list of supported scripts and their syntax.
Important: Logging is not available for Linux devices.

Run Task

Once Select this option to set the script to execute only once on the device. Use the dropdown calendar and time to specify the date and time.
Weekly Select this option to configure a weekly schedule for the script to follow. Select a weekday from the Every dropdown list and then set a time.
Periodically Select this option to configure a periodic schedule for the script to follow. Select a frequency from the Every dropdown list and then set a start date and time.

Task Time

Execute task at Select which time standard the script should follow to know when to execute the script
  • Device Time: Executes the script when the time set on the device matches the time set in the profile configuration.
  • UTC: Executes the script when Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) zone matches the time set in the profile configuration.

Action

Choose a default script or previously created script from the dropdown list. You can also create custom scripts by selecting the Scripts button.

Once a script is selected, a preview appears in the dialog box.
