Use the SOTI MobiControl device agent to sign into a shared Android
device. Signing in enables user-specific configurations and secure access to apps and
settings. Once authenticated, the device automatically applies policies defined in the
Shared Device advanced configuration.
On the device, open the SOTI MobiControl device agent.
Select the hamburger menu and select Log in to launch
the Shared Device log in page.
Note: If a lockdown profile configuration is enabled,
swipe up from the bottom of the device screen and select the Log
In button instead.
Enter your credentials for the applicable directory service or IdP connection
and select Log in.
If prompted with terms and conditions, review and accept them to complete the
login process.
Results
After a user signs in successfully, the device automatically moves to the device group
specified in the Shared Device advanced configuration. SOTI MobiControl then applies the settings and configurations assigned to that group. It may take a
few moments to prepare the device for the new user. Once ready, the user can access
email and adjust personal settings as needed.
To log out, open the device agent,
select the hamburger menu, then select Log Out.
