Configuring App Policy for Samsung Knox E-FOTA

About this task

Send the Samsung Knox E-FOTA client to your device(s) using an App policy. This application enrolls the uploaded device(s) to the Samsung Knox E-FOTA servers.

Important: The device user must open the app and accept its terms and conditions to complete enrollment successfully.

Work Managed Devices

For Work Managed devices, administrators must push the Knox E-FOTA client to Knox enabled Samsung devices.

Tip: Some Samsung devices requires Knox E-FOTA: Legacy OneUI Core client along with Knox E-FOTA. Refer to this link for more details.

Corporate Owned Personal Enabled (COPE)

For Corporate Owned Personal Enabled (COPE) device administrators must push the KSP Plugin using app policy or OEM Config: Samsung profile configuration with following enabled:

Enable Device Policy Controls
Enable Firmware Control
Enable E-FOTA client installation & launch

Note: This automatically installs the Knox E-FOTA client on the work side of the device.
