Factory Reset Protection

Use the Factory Reset Protection profile configuration to control which users can unlock a device following a factory reset, thus protecting your company data from unauthorized access.


Disable Factory Reset	When this option is enabled, the device will not prompt device users for a set of whitelisted credentials following a factory reset. Note: If a device is targeted by two profiles with conflicting Factory Reset Protection settings, the Disable Factory Reset Protection setting will take priority.
Add Users	Click to specify a new Google account that is authorized to unlock the device following a factory reset.
Google Account ID	Enter the Google Account ID of the Google account that you want to be able to unlock the device following a factory reset. To learn how to find the ID of a Google account, see Factory Reset Protection. The Google ID is not the username.
Associated Email	Enter the email address that corresponds to the Google ID. For example: user@gmail.com
