Ethernet
SOTI MobiControl's Ethernet configuration enables you to configure Ethernet settings for macOS devices.
General
| Network Name | Enter the name of the network which the device should connect to. |
| Auto Join Network | Select this option to enable the device to automatically connect to this network. |
Security
| Ethernet Settings | Click the text box to open the Ethernet Settings pop-up window. See Ethernet Settings below for more information. |
Ethernet Settings
On the Protocols tab, you can select the following authentication protocols: TLS, LEAP, EAP-FAST, TTLS, and PEAP.
Note: You must select at least one authentication protocol.
On the Authentication tab, you can set the following options:
| Username | Enter the user name here. Note: Macros can be used to supply the user name. |
| Use Per-connection Password | Select this option to request a password for each connection and send with authentication. |
| Password | Enter the password required for the provided user name. |
| Use Identity Certificate | When a certificate is imported through the certificate manager, you can select it here. See Certificates for more information. |
| Phase 2 Authentication | Select the phase 2 authentication protocol you want to use. |
| Other Identity | Enter an externally visible identification if using TTLS, PEAP, or EAP-FAST. |
On the Trust tab, enter the trusted certificates required for authentication.
When you have finished configuring the Ethernet settings, click Save and Close to close the pop-up window.
