Finding a Device Location From the Device Dashboard

Use this procedure to find the indoor location of a single device from the Device dashboard.

Procedure

From the MobiControl hamberger menu , select Devices. The Devices dashboard is displayed.
Right-click on a device in the Devices table. The Device Actions panel is displayed.
Type Locate Indoors into the search bar at the top of the Device Actions panel then select the action when it is displayed.

The Indoor Location panel is displayed showing the location of the device.

Note: If a message is displayed at the top of the Indoor Location panel indicating you are viewing historical data, this means the device in no longer online. Also note that, in order to locate a device using the above method, the device must currently be at a location or have been at a location linked to the MobiControl instance.
