Remote Control/ Remote View

The MobiControl Help Desk is also known as the Remote Control or Remote View (iOS). It can be accessed through the Web Console from the Device tab.

Remote Control is available for the Windows Mobile/CE, Windows Desktop and Android+ platforms. For iOS devices, there is a Remote View option which allows you to see, but not operate the device screen.

To begin a remote control/view session:

  1. On the Devices tab, select a connected device.

    Devices with blue screen icons are connected. Black screen icons are disconnected.

  2. Right-click on the device and select Remote Control, Remote Control HTML5, or Remote View.

Microsoft Edge Known Issue

On the Microsoft Edge browser, Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM) is enabled by default. EPM can block the connection required for the remote control plugin. If blocked, Edge may prompt you to continuously re-install the MobiControl plugin for Remote Control.

To correct this issue:

  1. Open Windows PowerShell as an administrator and run the following command: CheckNetIsolation LoopbackExempt -a -n="Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe"
