Carl Rodrigues Earns Spot in Executive of the Year Awards

Congratulations are in order for SOTI CEO Carl Rodrigues, who was named a silver winner in this year’s Best in Biz Awards’ “Executive of the Year” category.

The fifth annual program in North America boasted its highest number of submissions to date, with more than 600 entries from a wide array of public and private companies of all sizes, and from a variety of industries and geographic regions in the U.S. and Canada.

Carl earned the award in the medium-sized North American company category for pushing the boundaries of innovation and for cementing SOTI’s status as a market leader in enterprise mobility management.   Under Carl’s direction, SOTI has grown from a one-man start-up to a global enterprise with employees in 22 countries, 6 global offices, over 2,000 resellers, and more than 15,000 enterprise customers worldwide.  To accommodate its continued success, growth and expansion, the company recently announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to a new 5-acre, high tech campus in Mississauga, Canada.

“This honour is not mine alone.  SOTI’s success is built on our people and our curiosity – the curiosity that propels us deep into the details, solving problems and finding potential at every opportunity to bring our clients’ mobile possibilities to life,” Carl said.  “There is no cookie cutter approach to building and running an innovative, profitable, and sustainable technology company. At SOTI, our path to success is rooted in working closely with our customers, listening to their challenges, and turning these insights into action. We work with them to learn about their businesses to help them grow, with a laser-focus on fusing strategy and creativity to develop the most intelligent solutions. This recognition is validation of this approach.”

Part of what makes Carl’s leadership style unique is his commitment to his innovative and visionary spirit.  Despite a hectic schedule as CEO & President of SOTI, he remains true to his passion for software engineering and regularly rolls up his sleeves to participate in designing new innovations and tinkering with algorithms.

Recognition from the Best in Biz awards is just the most recent in a series of accolades for the company and Carl’s leadership in the past few months. Most recently, Ernst & Young named Carl 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.  The company’s solutions have also been recognized by the CTIA MobITS Awards and The Stevie International Business Awards.  And just a few months ago, CRN listed SOTI’s Altitude Partner Program in its ranking of 5-Star Channel Programs.
